Paint Sludge Disposal
Paint sludge disposal for production lines, spray operations and equipment cleaning processes.

Paint Sludge Disposal Service
Paint sludge forms wherever paint settles out: in wash water tanks, spray booth water curtains, cleaning stills and the bottom of storage containers. Its make-up varies a lot from site to site, which is why we ask questions before we quote.
We will want to know how wet or solid the sludge is, what paints and chemicals went into it, and how it is currently held. From there we can recommend the right drums or IBCs and arrange collection.
Who We Collect From
- Automotive and industrial paint lines
- Spray booths using water wash systems
- Solvent recovery and cleaning stills
- Paint and coating manufacturers
- Equipment cleaning operations
Before We Collect
- Keep sludge in closed containers and avoid overfilling.
- Note the main paint types and any additives in the process.
- Photos of the sludge and its containers help us quote quickly.
Why Paint Sludge Must Be Disposed Of Professionally
Paint sludge collects pigments, resins and solvents in a concentrated form, so its make-up needs understanding before it can be disposed of.
We will ask about water content, contaminants, consistency and the containers the sludge is held in.
- 01Sludge composition varies with the paints and processes used.
- 02It may contain solvents, metals or other hazardous components.
- 03Semi-solid waste needs suitable sealed containers.
- 04Sampling or product information helps confirm classification.
- 05It cannot go in general waste or be washed to drain.
- 06Correct paperwork records the waste from your site to treatment.

Recycling
Can You Recycle Paint Sludge?
Recycling options for sludge are limited. Water content can be separated out, and the remaining solids may go for energy recovery or further treatment depending on what the sludge contains. We assess consistency and contamination before confirming the route.
