Surplus Obsolete And Off Specification Paint Disposal Service

Manufacturers, distributors and retailers sometimes find themselves with paint that cannot be sold: an off-spec batch, a discontinued colour range, damaged packaging or customer returns. Clearing it frees up valuable warehouse space.

We assess each batch individually and arrange collection by the pallet, drum or IBC. Where reuse or another route may be possible, we will discuss it with you once the stock has been reviewed.

Who We Collect From

  • Paint and coatings manufacturers
  • Wholesalers and distributors
  • Builders' merchants and DIY retailers
  • Contract decorators with overstocked stores
  • Businesses changing product range

Before We Collect

  • Prepare a stock list with product names, sizes and quantities.
  • Keep pallets wrapped and accessible for loading.
  • Flag any damaged or leaking packaging.

Why Surplus Paint Must Be Disposed Of Professionally

Unused or out-of-date stock is still waste once you decide to discard it, and mixed stock often includes several types of paint.

Reuse or treatment is assessed case by case for each batch.

  1. 01Surplus stock often mixes water based, solvent based and aerosol products.
  2. 02Each type may need a different classification and route.
  3. 03Large quantities need safe storage and suitable packaging.
  4. 04Solvent based stock may need hazardous waste paperwork.
  5. 05Stock lists or labels help speed up assessment.
  6. 06Your duty of care continues until the waste reaches an authorised facility.
